Lincoln Hotel Skid Row Housing Trust

A renovation of a dilapidated skid row hotel in downtown Los Angeles provided forty units of low cost housing for HIV and AIDS affected persons. The unreinforced masonry building required structural upgrade as well as re-working of electrical and mechanical systems. A new sprinkler system, new accessible entry as well as complete fire and life safety program were also included in the project. Working closely with Skid Row Housing Trust, who maintain and operate over a dozen of these buildings, we were able to provide cost effective solutions that provide for a safe and functional building within tight schedule and budget restraints. A team effort by the consultants who carefully assessed as-built conditions and gave timely responses to construction phase conditions, contributed to a successful project.
